Fare Italian.
Ambience Relaxed, it is homely enough to almost pass off as your regular neighbourhood haunt. The Sunday buffet brunch provides ample time (11.30am to 2.30pm) to linger and pass the time with people whose company you enjoy. It is also ideal for a hungry family celebrating a special occasion as you can revisit the buffet tables as often as you like.
Cost Set price of HK$468 (adults) or HK$268 (children) per head, plus 10 per cent service charge for the Sunday buffet brunch. It is not cheap, but you get value for money.
Turn-ons Whether its quality or quantity you are after, or possibly both, you will not be disappointed. The food is fresh, tasty and accessible. From the soup (asparagus on the day of our visit) to the Italian breads (pictured), antipasti, pizza and pasta made to order in whatever combinations you prefer, the main courses or the desserts, there is something for everyone, including vegetarians. Plus, the different food stations are easily accessible yet cleverly spaced so that you rarely have to wait for more than a couple of seconds to select your food of choice. And, once you order (pasta and pizza especially), simply hand the staff at the food station a disc bearing the number of your table and they will bring the food to you when it is ready.
Turn-offs It's just a small gripe, but there was only white sparkling wine. The management might consider adding rose or red as a substitute.
Drinks Sparkling wine and soft drinks are included in the buffet price.
