Results of the gene machine

I am an 18-year-old local girl. My father is from Chiu Chow , and my mother is from Dongguan .

As far as I know, all my relatives are Chinese. But my mum, some of her sisters and I all have light brown hair which people usually admire.

But when I started Form Six this year, many people doubted it was my real hair colour. Some teachers have asked me about it several times, and don't believe I'm telling the truth.

This is a little upsetting, and also makes me wonder about my family background. Most Chinese have jet black hair, so I wonder if any of my ancestors were foreigners.

I believe everyone wants to know about their ancestors. It helps us know more about ourselves.
