Merchant Square sits at the eastern end of Paddington Basin, which is named for its proximity to the London end of the Grand Union Canal basin. The basin is part of a Paddington waterside revitalisation project, which is halfway through a 20-year development plan. If transport links are the key to a good location, then Merchant Square is spot on. Waterline House is close to Edgware Road Station and Paddington Station, making it a desirable residence for those enticed by London's West End offerings and who need fast access to international shores via Heathrow Airport. Two Edgware Road stations, 150 metres apart and a five-minute walk form Merchant Square, connect to four Underground stations: the Bakerloo line, and the Circle, District, Hammersmith and City lines; nearby Paddington station also connects to the same four lines. Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus are nine minutes and 11 minutes away respectively, while the affluent Notting Hill neighbourhood is just four minutes by tube. King's Cross St Pancras station, and its direct links to St Pancras International and the EuroStar, is 11 minutes on the underground. Paddington Station is also home to the Heathrow Express station and the airport can be reached in 15 minutes. King Sturge said regeneration plans at Paddington Basin had resulted in a new 'vibrant' community and established it as an 'outstanding destination' for those requiring easy access to the West End and Heathrow Airport.
