Saab cars, sold by the company's wholly owned subsidiary Swedish Motors, maintained its position as the third best selling European car in Hong Kong.
In March last year, Swedish Motors acquired the exclusive right to distribute Saab in China and the work of establishing independent or joint venture dealerships and service centres in key markets was started in Guangzhou and Shanghai.
Another wholly owned subsidiary of the company, EuroMotors, acquired the exclusive distributorship for Hong Kong and Macau for Opel cars.
Since the re-launch of Opel in late May, sales had increased steadily and by end of the year a total of 342 Opels had been delivered.
