Volunteers with a Sino Group community initiative had plenty to be over the moon about at the 10th anniversary of an autumn effort on behalf of the elderly.

Sino Caring Friends and Sino Club members linked up for a special 'Mooncake Speaks for My Heart' event in which more than 230 residents at the Helping Hand Chuk Yuen (North) Jockey Club Housing for the Elderly and Po Lam Jockey Club Housing for the Elderly were visited.

'All who attended enjoyed a happy afternoon with fun games and magic performances,' says a Sino Group spokesman. 'The volunteer team also brought love and care to the elderly, plus mooncakes from Gold Coast Hotel and fruits.'

Long a supporter of community initiatives, Sino Group formed Sino Caring Friends to encourage staff to participate in volunteer programmes. 'The group believes that voluntary service helps staff to better understand and contribute to the community while they develop personal abilities such as management, communication and leadership skills,' the spokesman adds.
