Tourist hit by bus
A 54-year-old mainland tourist was knocked unconscious when hit by a bus at the junction of Chatham Road South and Cameron Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, at about 10.15am. A passenger - a 42-year-old Hong Kong man - was also injured. Both were treated at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Yau Ma Tei. The tourist was in a serious condition.
Day for the elderly
Senior Citizens' Day, run by the Council of Social Service, will be held on November 15 with the theme 'Age-friendly city' and the aim of improving well-being, safety and sense of belonging.
Road worker injured
A worker, 55, was unable to move the lower part of his body after being hit by a 60cm-long drainage tube at a Yau Tong roadworks site. He was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
