Ten things you can do to protect Hong Kong's marine environment

1 Volunteer for next year's International Coastal Cleanup Challenge - or get a head start by cleaning up a beach near you.

2 Put your trash in secure bins with lids. Most marine debris starts out on land.

3 Recycle everything you possibly can.

4 When boating, bring your trash back to shore and dispose of it properly.

5 Don't buy anything you don't really need. Choose items with less packaging.
