A HONG Kong consultancy specialising in project financing has been awarded a licence to run a representative office in Vietnam. PCS International is one of only three consulting companies which has been granted the licence to have an official presence in Vietnam. To date, the company has managed projects in Vietnam's real estate sector as well as tobacco and container manufacturing. Operating as a window on Vietnam for foreign investors, it is advising investors from Korea, Canada, the United States and Scandinavia. Working on projects ranging from shrimp farming, car distribution and the development of hotels, the company managing director Mr Kenneth Anderson said: ''Massive investment interest has presented itself as a result of the February lifting of the US Trade embargo. However this situation is one that favours those with on the ground knowledge and experience.'' Having operated in Vietnam since 1989 the firm has about $775 million projects under management.
