HK man jailed for fraud in US

Hong Kong man John Hui How-wai, 51, was jailed for 51 months in the United States on Monday for his part in an e-mail stock fraud scheme. Hui, former chief executive of a company called China World Trade, was also sentenced to three years of supervised release following his prison term and agreed to forfeit US$500,000 to the US.

Director guilty of impersonation

Telecoms company director Wong Sai-hung, 36, was found guilty in Kwun Tong Court yesterday of impersonating an Independent Commission Against Corruption officer. He did so to make inquiries about someone who owed him and his companies money. Sentencing was adjourned to December 15.

Dozen injured as buses collide

Twelve people suffered minor injuries when two double-deckers collided at the junction of Chatham Road South and Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, at 8.40am.
