A temporary post office based on the theme of love has opened in Tsim Sha Tsui, 'to help people spread love and blessings' during the festive season.

Hongkong Post's first concept store, called 'Love Post', lets users create stamps out of their on-site photographs and sells exclusive designer parcel boxes.

The 2,000 square metre store was transformed from an indoor basketball court in Harbour City. About 15 employees will operate the service until January 3.

Customers may create personalised stamps by taking photos with family and friends in front of a festive backdrop. The photos will be printed as a set of two mini-panes, comprising 24 stamps, at the price of HK$180.

Customised stamps have been a service of Hongkong Post for several years, but the new store allows customers to order fewer than the usual minimum quantity of 20 panes, each comprising 20 stamps and costing HK$48.

The unique stamps will be mailed to the customer within seven working days, two weeks quicker than normal.
