While Apple might have pioneered multi-touch with the iPhone, Microsoft has now brought it to the big screen with Windows 7.
But those of us considering a Windows 7 software upgrade won't be able to take advantage of that feature - unless we upgrade our computer to a model like the Dell SX2210T.
The 22-inch computer not only supports full HD at 1,920x 1,080 pixels, but is also a touch screen that supports multi-touch. That means you can now squeeze, flick, tap, drag and swipe your way through menus, photos, webpages and documents directly on the screen.
Think of it as a 22-inch iPhone that you can put in your living room. You don't need to find room for a keyboard and mouse - just use your fingertips to navigate around your computer on the screen.
With the right software, you can even do some painting or writing, either with a stylus or your finger. But to take advantage of these new features, you need to upgrade your machine to the Windows 7 Home Premium edition and install the related multi-touch support applications, such as the latest Internet Explorer.
But remember, not all applications support multi-touch at the moment, but it's definitely the future. The SX2210T is 'future proof', since you can upgrade your CPU later. It costs HK$3,680.
