Exco takes action to curb increases in bus fares

The Executive Council yesterday approved removing an element of the bus fare adjustment formula that officials believe may have been contributing to fare rises. The bus operator's 'productivity gain' will be taken out for the next three years. Exco rejected demands by bus companies to add the cost of fuel to the formula.
