United States envoy Stephen Bosworth ended his three-day trip to North Korea this week. He was hoping to bring Pyongyang back to talks about the country's controversial nuclear programme. Korea's leader Kim Jong-il was out of town at the time. Meanwhile, the reclusive state has said it has nine cases of swine flu, but South Korea claims many people have died of the disease in the north. To add to the public's woes, the government revalued its currency, so people lost 99 per cent of their savings.
