Good leaders speak with actions
I think a successful leader should be confident, decisive, responsible and proactive. For example, United States President Barack Obama has displayed some of those qualities. He is confident and willing to take on a challenge.
On the other hand, Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou was criticised for his slow response to the deadly typhoon in August.
Leaders have to be decisive when handling major issues. Then they will gain the public's trust.
They also have to be responsible and lead from the front, like Prime Minister Wen Jiabao did in the aftermath of the Sichuan earthquake last year. Despite the aftershocks, he visited the disaster zone to comfort the victims.
Leaders have to motivate others so that everyone can use their talent to complete their tasks more efficiently.
