Shu Qi has denied she's been dumped by her boyfriend, saying she's put romance aside for films.
The Taiwanese Hong Kong-based actress (right) was recently pictured on the cover of a tabloid magazine shopping with a man who reports suggested was her new boyfriend after she was dumped by fellow actor Chang Chen.
'That guy is my manager's assistant and we were there for a fitting for the outfit I wore to the Golden Horse film awards,' she says.
The actress also says her relationship with Chang has always been one of friendship, and not romantic.
'Chang and I have been best friends for many years. In fact, I think we've known each other for about 12 or 13 years now. I know him too well,' she says.
'Besides, I don't have the time to rest, so where can I find time to be in love? Like today, I am not feeling well, but I still have to work.'
