Celestial Cloud Songs (Drum Music)

Cloud Songs, Celestial's fifth effort, consists of new recordings on the first disc and remixes of efforts from the past 13 years on the second. The overall effect of the languid songs is akin to that blurry, dream-like state the day after a party.

The real star of the new recordings is Audiotraffic vocalist Adrian da Silva, whose emotional vocals shine on the emo-styled ballads and offer Celestial a real chance for widespread radio airplay. Otherwise, guest appearances by Vastine Pettis, Ela R. Alegre, May Chan and Shamus (again) try to rise above a slow, moody pace that strives to disprove one song's lyrics in which 'the days come tumbling past. Things these days just don't last.'
