A Stewards' inquiry into apprentice Keith Yeung Ming-lun's handling of Noble Zoom in the Sharp Handicap overshadowed the win of trainer Peter Ho Leung's Super Family. The stewards opened an inquiry into Yeung's ride on Noble Zoom and, after taking evidence from the apprentice and his allocated trainer, Almond Lee Yee-tat, the stewards adjourned the inquiry to a date to be fixed. Yeung's horse travelled second in the run, while leader and eventual winner Super Family (Ben So Tik-hung) stole an unassailable lead and proved too strong in the run to the post. 'Super Family needs to find the rail to run smoothly,' Ho said. 'The boy made the pace too quickly on his earlier ride, Cover Boy, but made a better pace in this race and was able to win. He is a one-dimensional horse and likes to have horses chasing him, which is why we changed the gear from blinkers to a visor so he can see the horses behind him.'
