Sammi Cheng Sau-man has denied media reports that she is back together with Andy Hui Chi-on.  
The two had been widely reported as a couple after singer Cheng joined the same music label as Hui in 1989, although their relationship was never officially confirmed.
Hui hinted at a long-term relationship with Cheng when they took the most popular male and female singer awards at TVB's Jade Solid Gold Top 10 Awards in 2002. 
At the time, Hui thanked Cheng for her support over the years. 
The two reportedly split in 2004; however, Canto-pop diva Cheng invited Hui to perform with her at the Coliseum on Boxing Day.
On stage, Hui presented Cheng with a bouquet of 12 red roses and the two sang their signature duet, Do You Really Have Me in Your Heart?
Media reports the next day suggested Hui was still in love with Cheng, although he is currently dating someone else. 
Hui said afterwards that he didn't realise the 'be mine' significance of giving someone a dozen red roses.
Speaking at another concert this week, Cheng denied speculation that the romance had reignited and urged the media not to exaggerate their relationship. 
'[Hui] was only a guest [performer] for one night. I was shocked when I saw  the newspaper coverage - many people believe what they read in the papers,' Cheng said.  
'[Our relationship] is already  past tense.'
Cheng also gave her blessings to Hui's new relationship.  'I  hope his relationship can really flourish. And if it does, I will congratulate them and really be happy for them,' she said.
