Bollywood goes Broadway in a new musical coming to Hong Kong next month. Lunchbox Productions' newest presentation, The Merchants of Bollywood, promises to be a dazzling extravaganza chronicling Mumbai's entertainment industry from within.

Based on Indian choreographer and actress Vaibhavi Merchant's life and family - her grandfather was also a legendary dance director - it parallels Bollywood's rise and fall over the years. The show will run at the Lyric Theatre from February 2 to 14.

CitySeen has two pairs of A reserve tickets (valued at HK$595 each) for the opening night on February 2 at 8pm. For a chance to see the show - produced by Australian Mark Brady, scripted by British writer Toby Gough, with Vaibhavi Merchant's own choreography - tell us in 50 words or less why you prefer Bollywood to Hollywood. Send your answer to [email protected] with your name and telephone number. Put 'Merchants of Bollywood' in the subject field. The deadline is Monday at noon.

Tickets are on sale now, ranging from HK$395 to VIP tickets at HK$795, from the Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Academy for Performing Arts, AsiaWorld-Expo, the Fringe Club and all HK Ticketing and Tom Lee Music outlets.
