Jail for HK$78,000 mooncake fraud

An unemployed man who redeemed 439 boxes of mooncake worth HK$78,142 using fake coupons was jailed for four months yesterday. Pui Fung-wang, 49, was sentenced in Kowloon City Court after pleading guilty to conspiracy to use a false instrument. The court heard that a man had given Pui the coupons and HK$3,000 for helping him redeem them.
