Achievements: Claudia, 17, is a member of the Hong Kong swimming team. She holds the Hong Kong record for the women's 200m backstroke. Last year, she won two gold medals and one bronze at the Asian Indoor Games and four silver medals at the Asian Youth Games.
As captain, she led her school team to victory as overall champions (girls) at the Hong Kong & Kowloon District Inter-School Swimming Championships, Division 1, 2009/10. She won two gold medals and one bronze.
She also participated in the 2009 Fina World Swimming Championships in Rome and the Hong Kong East Asian Games.
Soundbite '[Last year] was an amazing year for me ... There were 10 training sessions a week, and usually I trained with the boys. Medals are not my targets in a competition. I love to challenge myself and hope to break my own record. I believe that my only competitor is me,' Claudia says.
'The 2009 East Asian Games was the last major event with our 'big sister', Shirley Tsai. With the applause from local supporters, the Games became a huge party at the pool. Shirley is our role model and I learn a lot from her.
