Shinichi, or Jimmy, Kudo is the teenage central character of the highly popular Japanese anime and manga, Detective Conan: Case Closed. He is a manga hero who is as well known in the West as he is in Japan.
On the face of things, Shinichi Kudo is a high-flying 17-year-old high school student, but he has another identity as a brilliant part-time detective, helping the authorities solve criminal cases where the police have failed.
His hero is the famous English detective, Sherlock Holmes, whose style of detection and powers of deduction are second to none.
