Former lawyer denies stealing crisps

A former senior government lawyer will get a different perspective on the legal system when she goes to trial for allegedly stealing a pack of crisps, worth HK$23.80, from a Wellcome supermarket. Au Yuen-wah, 52, now a clerk, pleaded not guilty in Eastern Court yesterday. She was released on bail and will face trial on March 12.
