Get rid of drugs, for everyone's sake
I am writing in response to Zoie Ho Wing-yan's letter 'Stay away from people who take drugs' (Young Post, December 28). I have to fully agree with her idea that drugs are harmful.
Firstly, people who take drugs tend to get them from triad hawkers. This promotes triad activity, and will result in more crime.
Secondly, when you take drugs, you destroy yourself. Many people take drugs to 'solve their problems', but they are shortening their lives.
A third point is that drug dealers often mix other substances into the drugs or lie about what they're selling. Drug users don't realise there's washing powder, bleach, plaster of Paris, or other chemicals in their purchases. But these additions can be even more dangerous than the pure drugs.
I firmly believe people should stop taking drugs at once, and work towards pushing drugs off the planet.
