Amber Chia strips down to her stripes to send a Year of the Tiger message
Have you ever wondered how Peta always manages to put some of the world's most beautiful women in chains, behind bars or posing naked in animalistic poses? That may be a good reason to work for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, even if you are not a diehard animal rights activist. It seems ever since Pamela Anderson and Naomi Campbell bared all for the group, Peta staff have gone progressively sadomasochistic.
The latest beauty to be put naked in a cage is sexy Chinese-Malaysian model Amber Chia (pictured), who strips down to her stripes to send a Year of the Tiger message. 'Tigers, elephants, and chimpanzees aren't meant to live fenced in any more than I am. The born free should stay free,' said Chia, who is campaigning against zoos where animals are sentenced to 'a lifetime of boredom, loneliness, and abuse'. She is asking people to boycott zoos.
Chia follows the caging of Mongolian singer-songwriter Nominjin, who was on an anti-fur mission and is out to raise awareness of illegal fur farms on the mainland that keep rabbits, minks, foxes - and even dogs and cats - in inhumane conditions and kill them in barbaric ways.
It is all for a very good cause but let's hope Peta never gets around to using electric prods on the women.
