Liu Lok-tin (pictured) cantered to his first Montrose Fine Wines Hong Kong Close Amateur Championship title at Fanling yesterday. The 16-year-old, who began the day tied for the lead with fellow junior Terrance Ng, fired rounds of 72 and 70 over the New Course to win by 10 shots from former champion Max Wong Chen-kun. 'I felt good the whole day,' said Liu, who collected his first major tournament win two weeks ago at the HSBC China Junior Open on Hainan Island. 'I've never been so confident on the golf course.' Liu also earned a coveted berth at the Hong Kong Open later this year. 'I can't wait to play,' Liu said. 'To play in a European Tour event is something I've always wanted to do.'
