In the 12th Detective Conan movie, Full Score of Fear, Kudo Shinichi draws on his musical talent to investigate a string of deadly attacks against Japan's top musicians.

Meitantei Conan (Detective Conan), known as Case Closed in the United States, is a long-running Japanese detective mystery manga/anime series by Gosho Aoyama. It has been serialised in Japanese manga anthology Weekly Shonen Sunday since 1994. The first film was released in 1997, and a live television drama premiered in 2006.

The story revolves around teenage private detective Kudo Shinichi. The 17-year-old turned into a little boy after he was force-fed an experimental poison called Apotoxin-4869 by agents of enemy group the Black Organisation.

In Full Score of Fear, top musicians in Japan have been murdered in a series of mysterious attacks. Nobody has a clue who the killer is, yet people are starting to wonder why top organist Doumoto Kazuki hasn't been threatened.

During a rehearsal, a powerful explosion shakes the concert hall. Conan manages to save Akiba Reiko, the soprano who seemed to be the target of the attack.

But the attacker isn't so easily diverted, and plans to carry out a second attack. Another huge explosion sets the outside of the theatre on fire. But the performance has already begun, and the 1,000 audience members sitting in the soundproof theatre can hear only the beautiful sounds of Ave Maria.
