Actors Jordan Chan Siu-chun and Cherrie Ying Choi-yi had a sweet and moving wedding ceremony in Las Vegas on Lunar New Year's day.
The couple (right) had a private ceremony at the Little White Wedding Chapel, attended by their friends and family, including Ying's parents and her grandmother, who is more than 90 years old, as well as Eric Tsang Chi-wai, Chung Chun-to (aka Kenny Bee) and China Star boss Charles Heung Wah-keung and his wife, producer Tiffany Chen Ming-ying.
During the ceremony, 42-year-old Chan fluffed his vows, saying Ying was his 'best wife' instead of 'you are my best friend, my wife, for now and forever', and everyone burst out laughing.
However, Ying, 26, who wore an exquisite tube-top Vera Wang white wedding gown, was so moved by the vow she started to cry.
The Taiwan-born, US-raised Ying chose to read her vow in Cantonese which said: 'Even if the whole world doesn't understand you, I will try my very best to; even the whole world leaves you, I won't. I know you are a big kid but a man with a good heart. Don't worry, I will take care of you.'
After the ceremony, Ying said she hadn't slept well for days because she had been so nervous about the wedding, and her biggest wish was to get a good night's sleep.
