Healthy sign from HK Irish import
ANOTHER of trainer Peter Ng Bik-kuen's Irish imports won't be too long in winning a race following his effort in the fourth event yesterday.
Health First was at long odds in the Class Three longer sprint and was drawn in the extreme outside barrier (14) but came home well for third, looking a definite quinella chance about 200 metres out.
Health First has got solid Irish form, having won at the Galway Festival meeting and he was not disgraced in his first run last month. But this effort should really bring him right on and he will be a major threat over 1,400 metres or a mile.
Great Dancer's fifth placing in the second event brought jockey Danny Lee to the unwelcome attention of the Stewards but there was no missing the quality of this effort.
Great Dancer had made a belated debut to the season last month and was clearly in need of the run.
But the five-year-old, who has good overall form, had obviously come quite a bit from his debut and his fifth placing was quite excellent.
