Kitchee president Ken Ng Kin (pictured) said the pitch at Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground needs improvement after his side beat Tai Chung 2-0 at the ground in the BMA First Division yesterday. The match had been scheduled for last Sunday, but was postponed for almost a week - partly because of the poor state of the pitch, which had been used for a couple of matches during the Lunar New Year. 'It is still not in good condition. Some areas are hard while other parts are too soft,' Ng said. The victory kept Kitchee's title hopes alive as they are only five points behind leaders South China, and have one match in hand; Tai Chung lie third from bottom. Both Kitchee goals came in the first half, Edson Minga scoring in the 19th minute and Baruc Nsue slotting home five minutes later.
