Senior planning engineer
With the awarding of major infrastructure and building projects, leading construction firm Gammon Construction is expanding and hiring engineers at all levels. 'Planning engineers proficient in MS Project and Primavera are in high demand for developing the most appropriate method and sequence of construction operations for our projects,' says human resources director Edmond Lai.
'They will be responsible for planning and anticipating project demands in terms of labour, materials, equipment and technical challenges, developing project master and short-term programmes.'
Gammon offers staff attractive benefits, including medical insurance, enhanced MPF scheme, annual leave and alternate Saturdays off. It is renowned for its training programme.
'Most engineers undergo the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers Scheme 'A' training or other structured training,' Lai says.
Gammon Construction is a private company jointly owned by Jardine Matheson and Balfour Beatty. Headquartered in Hong Kong, Gammon runs offices in Singapore and the mainland, and employs more than 4,000 staff. Operating for more than 50 years, its experience covers civil, railway, building, foundations, and mechanical and electrical engineering.
