IN recent months she's been seen on screen dangling from a helicopter, leaping from buildings and charging about with arms and legs weaving as she confronts the forces of evil - which usually means going to the assistance of her celluloid sidekick Jackie Chan. Perhaps action star Michelle Yeoh - who is renowned for doing all her own stunts - should have stuck to her high-octane movie lifestyle. For having told Keeping Posted that her New Year resolution was to take more time off from her punishing filming schedule to relax, Yeoh has been enjoying herself, what with a skiing holiday in Aspen and a beach vacation in her native Malaysia. In between, the ex-wife of tycoon Dickson Poon even found time to supervise renovations to her Peak home. But now, trouble. For last week while taking yet another break in the United States, the popular actress tripped and fell heavily, seriously injuring her leg. Last night Yeoh was holed up in New York, and our sources say that the injury is so serious it may well necessitate surgery. The mishap couldn't have occurred at a worse time, coming as it did when Hollywood seriously beckoned for the Hong Kong-based box office idol. Of late, an Oscar-winning Hollywood director has been taking a keen interest in Yeoh's cinematic career.
