SHENZHEN B shares closed mixed yesterday in quiet trading, brokers said, with the Credit Lyonnais Shenzhen B index down 0.04 per cent at 1,136.83. Three stocks closed up and four down, with the rest unchanged or untraded, according to Bloomberg. Much attention was focused on two stocks which reported results last week, traders said. Lizhu Pharmaceutical and Taiwan-funded home appliance maker Tsann Kuen China Enterprise both gained. ''Both attracted buyers because of their good results and healthy expectations for this year,'' an analyst said. Lizhu's net profits rose 36.3 per cent last year to 66 million yuan. The company's shares closed up 10 cents at $5.10, with 198,000 shares traded. Tsann Kuen also gained 10 cents to end at $4.75, with 602,000 shares traded. Shenzhen Gintain fell 4.5 per cent to $6.30. The Credit Lyonnais Shenzhen A index plunged 79.84 points, or 6.59 per cent, to finish on 1,131.82. Turnover was 544.9 million yuan.
