Anime J-pop girl band Kalafina rocked the house to a packed auditorium at the Hong Kong International Trade & Exhibition Centre. The group was on an Asian three-city tour, starting in Shanghai, stopping off in Taipei, and finishing up in Hong Kong.

The anisong band was formed in 2007 by famous Japanese composer Yuki Kajiura, mainly to sing theme songs for the anime movie series Kara no Kyoukai.

Kalafina is made up of three young women: Keiko Kubota, Wakana Ootaki and Hikaru.

Their debut single Oblivious launched in January 2008, and reached No8 on Japan's Oricon music charts.

Since then the group has enjoyed continued success, releasing both anime- and non-anime-related singles.

The songstresses bewitched Hong Kong anime fans on March 7 with live performances of their songs from anime favourites such as Kuroshitsuji, Kara no Kyoukai and So Ra No Wo To.
