SHANGRI-LA Asia said its earnings per share were revised upwards to 50.64 cents from 46.92 cents for the year ended December, as a result of consolidating the interest income on subscription money from the public share offer as an exceptional item.

The hotel operator received $34.72 million in interest income which was initially classified as an extraordinary gain.
The change was made to conform to the recently-revised Statement of Standard Accounting Practice.
The revision did not affect the profit attributable to shareholders, the company said.
