Shopping on the internet is  becoming increasingly popular. People, especially girls, tend to look for clothes, gadgets, cosmetics, and so on, online. 
Online shopping is indeed convenient and we can save time walking around the streets. We can see the latest fashions by clicking a button, and buy  what we like by sending an e-mail. 
But there are some disadvantages. Since we usually shop online alone at home, we cannot share the joy  of shopping with friends. Also the quality of the products is not guaranteed, and we cannot have the product immediately, either.
So, is online shopping good or bad? It all depends.

 Thank you for your letter, Jennifer. Shopping online makes life easy - we can find what we want from suppliers all over the world, click a few buttons, type in a few numbers, and within days, we receive a parcel packed with goodies. 
But internet shopping can be dangerous. Because you are not spending cash but using a credit card - probably your parents' - you can lose track of how much  you are spending. Before you know it, what you thought was a quick visit to Amazon for a book can become a massive shopping spree as you get caught up in special offers, new releases, fashion you can't  get in Hong Kong - probably all things you don't really need.
And then the credit card bill comes and the trouble begins. Your parents might get angry, and you suddenly have to find the money to pay for your shopping. 
While it's very true that we can  get rare and hard-to-find goods on the internet, we have to use it wisely. Only buy the things you set out to buy, and then switch off the computer.
And, as you say, online shopping removes the social element. Window shopping onscreen isn't nearly as much fun as going to the mall with friends, even if you don't buy anything.
