Sometimes an unlucky loss isn't all bad and the Andreas Schutz-trained Lucky Tycoon was able to parlay his recent 'certainty beaten' status into a better success yesterday. Lucky Tycoon (Terry Wong Chi-wai) was desperately unlucky when third to Go Stitch in February over the Sha Tin 1,400m course, but was able to return this time to score - for more stake money. 'He definitely should have won the Class Five, I think everybody saw that,' said Schutz. 'But because he didn't, we were able to win a Class Four today. Actually today's race was the same sort of run as that day but this time Lucky Tycoon was able to get some room at the stage of the race that he got shut out that time. I'm happy he has won one, a very honest horse and he deserved that,' the trainer added. The win continued a recent return to winning form for the German's yard after a horrendous first half of the season and allowed him to climb off the bottom of the trainers' table past Peter Ng Bik-kuen.
