It's only a month to go before the big day and the countdown is on. By now couples are starting to feel the pressure of organising one of the most important days of their lives. But, with any luck, you have a close friend who will give you a big send-off from singledom into married life, and you won't have to lift a finger - all you have to do is show up. In a two-part series dedicated to hen nights and stag parties, this week focuses on girly fun for the bride-to-be.

For a sexy night of seduction, turn all the ladies into teasing temptresses with a pole dancing party. Pole Divas in Central (www.poledivas-hk.com) offers parties at its private studio or it can send a dance instructor to a bar, club or hotel suite. 'We get quite a lot of hen nights,' says Jady Chow, director and dance instructor. 'Organisers want something more memorable for a hen night. And it's easy to pick up the moves and it's sexy.'

Pole Divas also offers chair and lap dance parties, that are easier to organise at an off-site venue rather than transporting a pole. Sessions usually last one hour. The instructor performs one or two songs, then the next 30 to 45 minutes are spent teaching the group a simple dance routine. The service costs HK$2,800 an hour for 10 people or HK$4,000 to HK$5,000 an hour off site, with extra charges for a pole.

To bring out the Picasso in the bride and her party, planners could book a session at artjamming (www.artjamming.com). With a bottle of bubbly at their side, the ladies could let their creative juices flow and have a memorable masterpiece at the end.

With two floors at its Central studio, artjamming has a maximum capacity of 25 or 35 artists. However, if you don't want pay the minimum charge of HK$10,000 for a Friday or Saturday night, you can just reserve spaces for your party during artjamming's nightly four-to-five-hour sessions, which cost HK$400 to HK$550 per person depending on the canvas size. The price includes a canvas, unlimited acrylic paints, painting tools, an apron and a box to take away your painting.

If you want to bring your own food and drinks, artjamming won't charge you a thing. But there's a catch - if you want to use their buffet table, you'll have to dish out HK$200. Alternatively, you could order delicious finger foods from partner restaurants Post 97 and Habibi Caf? that have created special party menus.
