Tailor Sam has measure of jet-setter
NOTHING, it seems, can stand between a man and his well-tailored Hong Kong suit.
So when an American businessman, whose name is a regular fixture on the Fortune 500 listings, decided he needed his wardrobe upgraded, he stopped over in Hong Kong in his private jet while en route to Tokyo.
While his aircraft was being re-fuelled, Sam the Tailor was summoned to Kai Tak to measure up the biz-whiz who will drop by in a few days to pick up the finished goods.
Meanwhile, Sam (aka Manu Melwani) - who can now claim to have joined the jet-stitching set - will be celebrating his recent nuptials with wife Bina at a reception this evening at the China Club.
It has been whispered that one or two important members of a European royal family will be on hand to offer best wishes to the newly wedded couple.
