Pop stars promote food hygiene
TO promote higher health standards among food centres, a ''Hygienic Food Centre Award Presentation Ceremony and Concert'' was held recently at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.
The event was jointly organised by RTHK2 and the Urban Council.
Pop stars including Andy Hui Chi-on, Sammi Cheng Sau-man, Vivian Chow Wai-mun, Winnie Lau Siu-wai, Angela Pang Kar-lai and Helen Au belted out their latest hits on stage, winning loud cheers from the audience.
The singers also joined hands to promote the message of food hygiene with a fun appeal.
Ho Chung-yan of RTHK2 programme First Morning Ray said the award winners were selected by the Urban Council after several hygiene inspections.
''We intend to promote civic education and spread community messages through our programme by adding sections like Little Doctor Environmental Protection with a green theme,'' Mr Ho explained.
Listeners can also voice their opinions on air by calling in during the show.
