Hong Kong's Zhou Mi advanced to the women's singles semi-finals at the Asian Championships in New Delhi yesterday with a hard-earned 2-0 win over Salakjit Ponsana of Thailand. The second seed (pictured) was taken to deuce before winning the opening game 23-21. Zhou then improved her net game in the second with a 21-17 win. The Hong Kong number one will now take on Liu Xin of China for a place in the final. In the men's singles, Hong Kong's Hu Yun failed to impress, losing to Lin Dan of China in a quick-fire 21-11, 21-10 quarter-finals.
