The title hopes of second-seed Zhou Mi were dashed in the semi-finals as China continued to dominate the Asian championships in New Delhi yesterday. Hong Kong's top player was no match for the mainland's Liu Xin as she lost to the qualifier in straight games, 21-15, 21-18. In the final, Liu will face compatriot Li Xuerui, another qualifier who ousted top-seed Saina Nehwal, of India, 21-17, 21-11. The men's singles final will also be an all-Chinese affair featuring Beijing Olympic champion Lin Dan and Wang Zhengming. Wang pulled off a surprise as he beat sixth-seed Kenichi Tago, of Japan, in the semis, while Lin ousted Boonsak Ponsana, of Thailand.
