Celebrities dressed to thrill

It might not have been the Oscars but the glamour was definitely turned up for Sunday's Hong Kong Film Awards. Spurred perhaps by the challenge for best-dressed personalities of the evening, singer Denise Ho Wan-sze abandoned her usual grunge/rock aesthetic for an elegant black strapless gown and jewellery from Dior and took the women's prize.

Nicholas Tse Ting-fung, who wore an all-red Bottega Veneta ensemble, was named the best-dressed male personality despite quips that he had wrapped himself in offcuts from the red carpet. Both received HK$80,000 worth of jewellery from sponsor, local jewellers Cemni.
