UK Immigration Nationality

INFORMATION on applicants for the British Nationality Scheme would not be disclosed in any circumstances, said Secretary for Security Alistair Asprey.

Details on successful applicants would be transferred to the British Government for record-keeping purposes, while those on the others would be destroyed before 1997.

The Government would begin destroying information on the first phase of the scheme in the middle of the year.

It is an offence to disclose the identity or any information on applicants for the scheme.
