1. Blue Piccadilly/Miss You - The Feeling
The whole Twelve Stops and Home album is a work of genius. I listen to this track the most as it's so epic. In nine minutes it describes a tedious journey home from a mundane day at work culminating in a trip to the pub where he drowns his sorrows and reminisces about a lost love.
2. Actor Out of Work - St Vincent
Apart from the fact that I'm madly in love with Annie Clark (who isn't?) she's also an amazing singer-songwriter. I love the constant repetition on a theme in this particular track as well as the highly original production and sound - from the Actor album.
3. Light & Day/Reach for the Sun - The Polyphonic Spree
This track is a touring staple for me. It's one of the most uplifting songs you'll ever hear, and a must when spending day in day out staring at generic hotel room walls. It gives me the inspiration to go out and explore.
