IN town on a business visit is Reginald Cheong-Leen, playwright son of former Urban Council chairman Hilton Cheong-Leen and brother of the effervescent Flora.
Although a fashion trader based in New York by profession, much of Reginald's time these days is taken up with his stage pursuits.
His play Nanjing Race has just completed a successful run at Princeton with B. D. Wong - who played the scientist in Jurassic Park and won a Tony Award for his role in M. Butterfly - playing the lead.
Now represented by the mega-theatrical agent, William Morris, Reginald hopes to see another of his plays, Lust, on stage soon.
He explains: ''The play is based in a Chinese-American lingerie company and deals with the subject of desire''.
Right now, he is casting his thoughts to what he calls his ''major project'' - a musical based on the life and times of Madam Mao.
