Karaoke and barbecue pep up annual gathering

MORE than 1,200 JPC patrons, chairmen, presidents and members in the 19 districts throughout the territory attended the organisation's recent annual get-together.

The function, held at the Happy Recreation Park in Sha Tin, was packed with fun and laughter, highlighted by a karaoke contest and a barbecue.

Staff Officer (Community Relations) of the Police Public Relations Branch Lam Wah-chiu took the opportunity to thank the participants for actively promoting the JPC scheme in the past year.

He said the function also served as a forum for participants to exchange views and ideas.

The gathering ended on a high note when the master-of-ceremony announced the results of the karaoke contest.

Wong Wai-lim of Wan Chai District, singing like a professional, won the first prize, while Mou Wai-man of Tai Po and Fan Lai-ching of Marine District came second and third, respectively.
