School wins Pui Ching trademark fight

The 100-year-old Pui Ching Middle School has won an injunction barring a former board chairman for the school in Guangzhou from running institutes and companies bearing similar names. In ruling against Liang Shangli, Court of First Instance Judge Jeremy Poon Shiu-chor yesterday said the Baptist Convention of Hong Kong, which runs schools under the name in Hong Kong, Macau and Guangzhou, were the legal users of the 'Pui Ching' trademark.
