Taiwanese singer Show Luo Zhi-xiang has always had a way of grabbing attention, starting with the glittering, studded shades that he wore for posters to publicise his three shows in Hong Kong.

At the last of his sell-out concerts at the Coliseum on Sunday, Luo got so hyper he was constantly dropping to his knees to kiss the stage. His fans were equally excited and kept asking for more.

Playing the violin for the first time before an audience that included singers Kary Ng Yu-fei and Kay Tse On-kei had the overwrought Luo shedding a few tears. 'I've been learning violin for the past few months. I hope this can show my fans that I don't only sing and dance but am capable of much more. I'm not as good as a professional violinist but I hope people can see that I'm really trying.'

Fans clamoured for Luo to remove his jacket to show off a gym-buffed body, and he gave in after two encores to avoid a hefty fine for time overrun. Luo said he stayed up after his concerts to search the internet for fans comments and ways to improve his shows.
