Tudor has drawn on its extensive experience in designing performance-oriented timepieces and added modern aesthetics to its latest styles in the Heritage Chrono and Glamour collections.

Inspired by the brand's Oysterdate Chronograph launched in the 1970s, Heritage Chrono is a new addition to the brand's sports collection. Designed to mark the Tudor-Porsche Motorsport Partnership signed last year, it has been engineered to echo the contours of the racing cars.

While Heritage Chrono incorporates Oysterdate's original shape and proportions of the middle case, bezel, lugs and bracelet, some details are contemporary. The 42mm steel case of the new model in satin finish with polished details is in keeping with the generous dimensions of today's chronographs. The edges of the lugs are polished and bevelled; the shoulders engineered for crown protection are stylised; and the knurled edge of the rotatable bezel and the pushers flanking a knurled winding crown are designed for improved grip.

Three-dimensional appliqu? in the hour markers and counters, and orange details enliven the dial of the Heritage Chrono watch, which is available in a combination of either grey on black or black on grey. The 45-minute counter mirrors the one in the original version. Its design was dictated by the Valjoux movement and the need for optimal legibility.

The Heritage Chrono features the 7033 bi-directional rotatable bezel, which was originally designed for the 1970s first version but never used. The bezel of Heritage Chrono bears a reference to 70330 with a black eloxed aluminium disc and is complemented with a three-link solid steel bracelet or a black, grey and orange fabric strap with a newly-developed vintage and seat belt-inspired buckle.

The Heritage Chrono is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement, with screw-down pushers at two o'clock and four o'clock.
